Hi Everyone,

We're not sure what has spawned this but we've been deluged by emails from
all over the globe at HeartStrong's exgay.com site.  Each story is very
similar, someone trapped in the exgay lifestyle, not feeling it is
working, searching the web for more exgay information and then they find
us.

This is the very reason why HeartStrong owns exgay.com.  It's a tremendous
way to reach the people who need us most.  Amazingly it's not just
students from religious schools who find hope there either.  We've been
helping everyone who asks for assistance.  Although generally, most of the
people searching have experienced some form of abuse via religious
education.

We just did an interview with the newspaper for Columbia, Missouri, so if
you are in Columbia, be watching for that.  For those who are not in MO,
we will distribute a link to the article as soon as we receive it.

We just spent an afternoon here near Orlando FL at building which houses
the offices for the Seventh-day Adventist church.  Seventh-day Adventist
schools are growing rapidly around the world.  We spent considerable time
placing HeartStrong materials inside the building and under windshield
wipers in the parking lot.

While this outreach is not directed at students it is directed to people
who govern and control these schools.  Perhaps our efforts might make one
person think about how to deal appropriately with this issue at their
school, their own family or even in their own personal life.

And as usual for the HeartStrong Outreach Team, we were not asked to
leave, there was no drama, just went and did our work and walked away.
The couple of people we did encounter actually took the material from us
when it was offered to them to read.

We have not received very many donations this past month, although we do
want to say THANK YOU to Shirley Cooper, Landa Ikeda and a few anonymous
others who helped keep us hard at work.

We were not able to do a mailed newsletter for February so it will be
combined with the March newsletter you should receive mid month.  If you
rely on the monthly newsletter to remind you about your monthly donation,
please make your February donation now or include it with your March
donation.  We desperately need your financial support!
