Hi Everyone...
We appreciate the calls and emails. Yes, we are ok. Yes, we are in
Dallas. Yes, there was incredibly nasty weather earlier today.

Baseball sized hail? Check. Tornadoes? Check. 70 mile an hour winds?
Check.

The rain continues to fall with extremely volatile wind.

Unfortunately, due to the weather, we are unable to travel north today to
Oklahoma. HeartStrong was to participate in the LGBT Leadership Summit at
Oklahoma University on Saturday.

This is the second consecutive weekend where our HeartStrong forums have
had to be canceled. Last weekend, our trip to Amarillo and two
HeartStrong forums were canceled due to a snow and rain storm.

This means that three HeartStrong programs were canceled. This also means
that HeartStrong was not able to get any donations from those events.
Generally, HeartStrong gets about $50 - $100 in donations at forums.

HeartStrong is also short on funds as we havent raised all of the funds
necessary for this entire 60 day outreach trip. We've only raised
$4000.00 of the $10,0000 needed.

So, if you are able, I hope you will take a moment and go to our website
and make a donation right now. ( http://www.heartstrong.org ) You may
also mail your donation to us at HeartStrong, PO Box 2051, Seattle WA
98111.

Aside from the weather concerns and the financial concerns, the outreach
trip is going well. We have made several school visits and have held two
educational forums in New Braunfels TX and Waco TX.

We were able to distribute quite a large quantity of outreach materials at
some of the schools including Baylor University. We will be posting
pictures on the HeartStrong website shortly.

Thanks for all your concern and for your ongoing support of our work.

Marc Adams
Executive Director
