Dear HeartStrong Friends,

After about two weeks of dedicated volunteer work, our new email list is
finally working and up to date.  Everyone who filled out a card at an
educational forum, joined the HeartStrong Network, or signed up online is
now on the new functioning email list.

We want to welcome our new list members and those who are rejoining us for
the first time in many years.

This was initially intended to be an open-forum discussion list about
HeartStrong our work, our educational forums etc.  However, it has been
brought to my attention over the past couple days that the preference is
for the open forum discussion to be contained in HeartStrong chat rooms
and/or online discussion boards.

It's a great suggestion and we plan to have the discussion boards up in
about a week or so.  (Maybe less!)

So, for now, this email list will no longer be a discussion list.  It will
only be used for one-way emails from me or our president to relay
HeartStrong information to you.  You will no longer be able to post
messages to this list.  But once the online discussion boards are in
place, you WILL be able to post HeartStrong appropriate messages there.

If, for any reason, you wish to unsubscribe to this list, it's fast and
easy to do so.  You may either sign into your HeartStrong email list
account with your email and password and unsubscribe, OR, you can simply
send an email to unsubscribe at heartstrong.org and your email address will
automatically be removed from the list.

These are automated features so HeartStrong will not receive any messages
sent to that address.  If you wish to contact me directly you can always
reach me at marcadams at heartstrong.org

Look for some additional exciting HeartStrong news over the next couple
days on this list.
