Dear HeartStrong Friend,

As 2006 draws to a close, we trust that you will keep HeartStrong at the
top of your year end giving list.

Why?  Here are ten reasons.

1. HeartStrong has provided outreach and support to gay. lesbian, bisexual
and transgendered students from religious schools quietly and consistently
since 1996.

2. Since 1998, our Outreach Team has driven 331,000 miles around the
United States by car in efforts to provide outreach & support as well as
educate the public.

3. Since 1998, the Outreach Team has hosted a minimum of 150 educational
forums annually.

4. Religious school enrollment in the United States and around the world
is at an all time high with millions more students in these educational
institutions than when the work began in 1996.  Our work is more relevant
now than it was when we began ten years ago.

5.  The persecution of GLBT students in religious educational institutions
has not lessened.  While some things are changing slowly in society, that
change is not reflected in these religious environments.

6.  Since 1996, HeartStrong has directly assisted nearly 1000 students
from these schools around the world including Canada, the UK, Ireland,
South Africa, Australia, and India.

7.  HeartStrong is an all volunteer organization.  No one gets paid to dot
he work of HeartStrong.

8.  HeartStrong is a 501 (c)(3) educational organization.  We provide
support and outreach to students from every denomination of religious
school that exists. (ie Seventh-day Adventist, Catholic, Mormon, Muslim,
Jewish, Methodist, Baptist, etc.)  Your donations are tax-deductible. 
93.3% of every dollar donated goes directly to program services.

9.  In the more than ten years of outreach and 8 years of educational
forums, HeartStrong has not once received our small annual budget from
donations.  Our Outreach Team could do three times the work we do now if
we were able to raise our annual budget money.

10.  Your gift helps us reach more students.  Our goal is to reach one
more student as often as we can with what we are given to do it.

If everyone reading this email could take just a minute and make a minimum
donation of $10.00 it would help us tremendously!  Making a monthly pledge
to support HeartStrong’s work is even more helpful.  Making a donation is

We know that this is the time of year that everyone asks for support. We
just ask that you remember HeartStrong when you are considering your
year-end giving.  Even the smallest gift helps us make a big difference.
